KMWE Awarded Contract for Production and Delivery of Parts Assemblies for F-35 Lightning II
Rotterdam, 18 november 2010 - De Dutch organisations Fokker, Thales, Aeronamic and KMWE have new contracts for the delivery of parts for the JSF (F-35 Lightning II). Today the four companies have signed in total 8 contracts with Lockheed Martin, Northup Grumman, Pratt & Whitney and Honeywell. Thales and Aeronamic are new in the JSF-project. The signed contracts value in total around 1 billion dollars of concrete assignments and another 3 billion dollars of potential turnover. This is equal to the yearly employment of about 500 people. NIFARP-members expect to employ about 4000-6000 people during the production- and maintenance stage. KMWE supplies parts and small assemblies for the F-35 Lightning II Stealth fighter. KMWE is selected based on 'best value' in price and performance.
